Cyclocross pro Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado has been making waves in the sport! She started this season with a bang already capturing the European and Dutch titles in the Women Under 23 category
Ceylin was born and raised in Cabrera , Dominican Republic till the age of 5. Now she lives in the Netherlands. At the end of 2017 she signed a three-year contract with Beobank-Corendon
In January 2016 she won silver at the Dutch Championships for juniors in Sint-Michielsgestel. A year later, in January 2017, she finished seventh at the World Cup for promises in Bieles ( Luxembourg ). On October 24, 2017 she became third with the elite in the Night of Woerden . During the World Championships cyclocross 2018 at the Caubergin Valkenburg aan de Geul she won silver in the promises. On 6 January 2019 she won the “Brussels Universities Cyclocross”. The race in Brussels was her first race of the year, first race as a pro rider and her first victory! A week later she won the Dutch Championship for promises in Huijbergen then after that she came in 4th at the Telenet UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup in Pont-Château (France)! As of this article she’s still U23 WorldCup leader!!
Ceylin hopes to conclude her stellar season with the rainbow jersey at the 2019 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Bogense (Denmark) which is coming up real soon. We look forward to seeing her on the podium again!
