Trek Bikes has partnered with NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) to grow diversity in the sport of cycling and provide better access for diverse and underrepresented youth. They’re currently seeking nominations for the 2021 fall NICA season. If you know a deserving kid who’d love to learn the sport of Mountain Biking, this is your chance.
Through the Pathfinders Scholarship, we’re providing 250 kids from underrepresented communities across the country with the gear and funds they need to take their first pedal stroke on a journey towards a stronger, healthier, more equitable future.

What Do The Scholars Receive?
The Pathfinders Schoarship program provides selected students with the following items.
- Trek Marlin mountain bike
- Helmet
- Shoes
- Accessories
- Kit
- A stipend for NICA league
- Entry fees for a full season of racing and events.
Applications are due by Thursday, April 15, and scholarship recipients for the fall season will be announced on May 15, 2021.

NICA’s mission is to build strong minds, bodies, and communities through cycling. They develop interscholastic and community-based cycling programs for student-athletes and coaches across the country.
NICA prioritizes confidence and camaraderie over competition, and it builds character and relationships along the way.
