I found this great interview with a Baltimore BMXer named Sharky on BicyclistOfBaltimore.com. Sharky is riding a 2001 Powerlite P28 Intruder. In the interview Sharky talks about growing up as a cyclist in Baltimore and what bike/BMX means to him.
My name is Sharky, and I’m 33 years old. I’ve been riding bikes ever since I was 5 years old. My mom taught me how to ride a pedal bike, and as much as I can remember I would follow my older brother and my older buddies from my house in Northwest Baltimore and come down to Druid Hill Park. I would be following behind the pack trying to keep up, and then I evolved into the age where I was not following behind the pack I was keeping up with the pack.
