Finding time to give back to the sport, Mykel has used the bike and his platform to create meaningful connections with people all over the world. One example of this selfless attitude was his participation in the Bikes Over Baghdad event in Iraq, which provided service men and women a well-deserved respite from their daily duties. When asked about his biggest accomplishments in the sport, Mykel points to the relationships he’s built, recognizing they wouldn’t have been possible without BMX.

One of those relationships is with new teammate Nikita Ducarroz who stated, “When I heard Mykel was joining Mongoose, I got the biggest smile on my face. Mykel is BMX. He’s one of those dudes that makes you pumped to ride because he’s always having so much fun and truly embracing the word ‘freestyle’. I can’t think of a better representative for the sport, and for the brand.”

From his local bike park, to global competitions, Mykel has left a path of positivity and will continue to do so moving forward with Mongoose. The team is excited to welcome Mykel and help amplify his message and love for BMX.

I’m beyond excited to have the privilege of joining the Mongoose team,” said Mykel. “Ever since I discovered BMX as a young kid, Mongoose has always been a staple in my community. It was a rite of passage whipping ‘the goose’ down the block. It’s an honor to represent the brand.
